The Last Dance was the Chicago Bulls ten part documentary that aired back in the Spring of 2020. It was exactly what the sports world needed following all sports being shut down during the beginning months of the Pandemic. While everyone pretty much has universally enjoyed the docuseries, minus the Pistons, one Chicago Bulls player was not feeling it.
NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen has spoken out against the doc, and how it portrayed him. He also voiced his opinion to Michael Jordan about his portrayal.

How accurate was the The Last Dance in showing what went on?
I don’t think it was that accurate in terms of really defining what was accomplished in one of the greatest eras of basketball, but also by two of the greatest players – and one could even put that aside and say the greatest team of all time. I didn’t think those things stood out in the documentary. I thought it was more about Michael trying to uplift himself and to be glorified [the series was co-produced by Jordan’s Jump 23 company]. I think it also backfired to some degree in that people got a chance to see what kind of personality Michael had.
Have you spoken to him about your opinion of series?
Yeah. I told him I wasn’t too pleased with it. He accepted it. He said, “hey, you’re right”. That was pretty much it.
So Scottie and MJ are not exactly feuding over the doc like some may have suggested. Scottie said his peace, and MJ admitted Scottie was right. As much as Scottie is upset how he was portrayed, the 90’s Bulls were all about MJ. And Scottie did has his fair share of questionable moments.
Michael Jordan also came off looking the world’s most competitive dickhead.
Scottie will always be the Robin to MJ’s Batman.
