San Francisco 49ers Go All-In To Let Kyle Shanahan Get “His Guy” At QB

San Francisco 49ers fans are calling for Kyle Shanahan's head after losing to Colt McCoy and the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon

Jimmy Garoppolo hasn’t done anything wrong as the quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. In fact, he and Kyle Shanahan have actually had a great deal of success. Jimmy G has a great record in San Fran, his stats are fine, and he’s taken the team to the Super Bowl. The only problem…Shanahan doesn’t want Garoppolo to be “his guy.” That was clear today.

The San Francisco 49ers have already made their move in order to position themselves to take a quarterback in the NFL Draft.

You simply don’t make this move unless you are sure that you’ll be taking a quarterback with that pick who will pair better with Kyle Shanahan than Jimmy Garoppolo has.

Social media is blowing up with San Francisco’s aggressive move.

Sure, Jimmy Garoppolo has been injury prone in recent years. But this move just goes to show what comes with the business in the NFL. San Francisco could not have asked for much more out of Jimmy Garoppolo, but they think they can do better. Kyle Shanahan thinks there is someone he can get with the #3 overall pick that will take his team over the edge.

The 49ers have all the tools to be one of the best teams in the NFL, they just need a QB. We’ll see if Shanahan ends up starting a new quarterback at the beginning of next season, or if the Niners wait a little.

Either way, the writing is now on the wall for Jimmy Garoppolo in San Francisco.
