New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas took to social media to reveal some more bad news about his rehab, leaving many to wonder if he's done with the Saints

The Michael Thomas situation gets even weirder after a report came out suggesting that New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas, ghosted his coach, WRs coach, and the team’s former trainer during the off-season.

According to the report by Tim Duncan at Nola.com, Thomas ignored all attempted contact from coaches and trainers during the spring.

Per Duncan, the team advised Thomas to have his ankle surgery to correct ligament damage after last season, but Thomas opted for a more conservative route that focused on rehab and therapy after a second opinion. Thomas then went dark, working on his own out of his California home.

This is clearly not a good sign from the Pro Bowl WR who has no guaranteed money left on his deal after the 2021 season. The Saints are also going through a transition phase now after the retirement of long-time QB Drew Brees in the off-season.

Thomas has been under the microscope of the higher ups since his fight with teammate safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson last season, earning him a one-game suspension.

Thomas appeared in seven games last season while only starting five of those. He was able to produce 40 receptions for 438 yards and no touchdowns.

Thomas was drafted 47th overall by the Saints in 2016 and exploded during his rookie campaign putting up 92 receptions, 1137 yards and 9 TDs.

It was announced late in July that Thomas had elected to have the surgery to repair his ankle in June which put the beginning of his season in jeopardy. He is not expected to see the field until the midpoint of the season for the Saints as they navigate a new QB situation.
