Ryan Fitzpatrick Under Fire For Making Racial Comparison Of Bears QB Justin Fields After Another Brutal Performance

According to a new report, Justin Fields felt a lot differently about Matt Nagy than he was willing to reveal publicly during the season

Justin Fields is smack dab in the middle of a sophomore slump.

The frustration with the young QB came to a head on Thursday night for former NFL veteran signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is now working as an analyst for Prime’s Thursday night broadcast. Fields went 14-of-27 for 190 yards, one touchdown and one interception as the Bears dropped a 12-7 loss to the Washington Commanders. It was another ugly game. Fitzpatrick did not hold back on his critique of Justin Fields.

Fitzpatrick says its time for him to figure out his identity as an NFL quarterback.

“Justin Fields needs to look in the mirror and say, ‘What am I?’ You are not Peyton Manning. You’re not Patrick Mahomes. You’re not a pocket passer. You are a Cam Newton-type. You are a guy who is an elite runner of the football”

While some fans agreed with Fitzmagic’s assessment, others were not into his comments.

Richard Sherman went on to say basically the same thing that Fitzpatrick had said prior.

Regardless of who Fitzpatrick thinks Fields needs to emulate, it’s obvious he doesn’t have too much help around him. He’s now 4-12 through his first 16 games as a starter and patience might be starting to wear thin in Chicago. They very well could be back in the market for a quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Da Bears always have QB issues, it’s just who they are.
