Russell Westbrook is here to stay?

The often ridiculed Los Angeles Lakers star just bought a new house. According to Darren Rovell, Russell Westbrook purchased the former Los Angeles home of F1 heiress Petra Ecclestone. LeBron James lives directly across the street from the house. Which now makes them teammates, and neighbors.

Russell Westbrook’s new house has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and is located on a spacious  half-acre lot. Westbrook reportedly paid $37 million for the home after Ecclestone paid $23 million for the new construction back in 2019. Ecclestone  will presumably be spending more time at her $230 million London mansion, which she is also willing to sell if you can afford it, which obviously very few people can. Her father, Bernie Ecclestone, is a a real interesting character.

He appeared on Good Morning Britain earlier in the year to say he would take a bullet for his good buddy Vladimir Putin.

As for Russell Westbrook, this obviously means he’s planning on sticking things out in Los Angeles.  Or regardless what happens with him on the Lakers, Russell Westbrook was raised in Long Beach and previously owned another mansion in Los Angeles that he purchased in 2018 when he was still a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder. So this doesn’t mean much other than he likes to keep some property in his home state.

This is just a man who happens to have bought property across from LeBron. You can’t make this stuff up.
