Ron Rivera Hilariously Throws Shade At Jason Garrett With “Coach” Comment

Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera seemingly threw shade at Giants OC Jason Garrett by jokingly telling reporters to call him 'coach'

Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera went against the recent trend when he jokingly made it clear that he doesn’t have to be called “coach” by reporters.

After Deion Sanders went on a whole tirade against a reporter who called him by his first name, New York Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett also corrected a reporter who had the gall to refer to him by his first name.

On Sunday, Ron Rivera had a little fun at Jason Garrett’s expense.

At the end of his press conference, a reported politely said “thank you, Ron” to which he replied with a big smile “oh, it’s coach” before winking and adding, ““Just kidding.”

Ron Rivera is truly a treasure, and a total class act in the league.

His Washington team is also shaping up to be a real contender in an NFC East division that has been completely up for grabs for the past several years.

Jason Garrett and the Giants are set to head to Washington to face Ron Rivera’s team Week Two, where we’ll be finding out who gets the last laugh.
