Robert Kraft Allegedly Put The Pressure On Bill Belichick To Win A Ring Without Tom Brady

According to a former player, Robert Kraft told Bill Belichick that he better win a Super Bowl without Tom Brady after letting the QB out the door

DEC 21 2014: New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and New England Patriots Owner Robert Kraft on the field prior to the game between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford,NJ.

Robert Kraft didn’t hide his disappointment when Tom Brady left New England for Tampa Bay after all their success together. And according to a new story, he took out his anger on coach Bill Belichick.

During a recent appearance on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, LeSean McCoy said Kraft confided in him that he put some added pressure on Belichick after Brady left.

According to McCoy, his interaction with Robert Kraft came during a party at the Pats owner’s home in Boston.

“I’m mad (Tom Brady) left. I told Bill, ‘Damnit, you let Tom win a championship. It’s time for you to win one,’” Kraft allegedly told McCoy.

McCoy also shared his own take on the Pats’ chances to win again.

“He’ll never win a championship again,” McCoy said. “That [expletive] is dead.”

Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady enjoyed plenty of success together. Their reign in New England resulted in six Super Bowl Championships. And I’m sure Kraft will look back fondly on those years.

But at a certain point, you have to turn the page. And the Patriots have to ask themselves: are we close to getting back to championship level?

Bill Belichick has replaced Tom Brady with Mac Jones. And even though they made it back to the postseason this year, they still proved that they are a great deal behind their division rival, Buffalo Bills.

Perhaps Robert Kraft knows the team isn’t anywhere near the same without TB12 under center. And that realization would keep any owner up at night.
