Robert Kraft Is Still Very Much On Team Brady

ATLANTA, GA - FEBRUARY 03: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) has a word with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft on his way off the field prior to Super Bowl LIII between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots on February 3, 2019 at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft did everything in his power to keep Tom Brady. It just wasn’t in the works. Brady was seeking a new challenge; a new opportunity. The same old, same old was no longer enticing to Brady, and he wanted to take a new team to a Super Bowl. He did just that.

It’s almost lost on us as fans how incredible Tom Brady really is. At 43-years-old he managed to take a 7-9 team, and take them to a Super Bowl. Sure, Brady wasn’t the only addition the Bucs made in the offseason, but you can chalk up the team’s success to “the Brady affect”.

While Robert Kraft was sad to see Brady go, he still heavily roots for him. Kraft sat down with WBZ-TV and shared his mindset about seeing Brady in the Super Bowl with another team.

“I’m rooting for Tom Brady,” the 79-year-old Patriots owner said. “I’m so excited. We’ve had some great communications and he is such a special human being.”

“We were privileged to have him here for two decades, and he’s one of the finest human beings I’ve ever met.”

Robert Kraft and Tom Brady remain close friends, and why wouldn’t they? They had one hell of a run together in New England.
