Rob Manfred’s Newest Dumb Idea Was Leaked, And Hopefully It Gets Him Fired

Rob Manfred is back in the news, which is never a good thing. Manfred is like if they made George Costanza commissioner of baseball. I’m pretty sure he has been trying to get fired but he hasn’t had very good luck. And if he quits he won’t get that sweet sweet unemployment, I wonder what the max unemployment is for someone with an annual salary of $11 million dollars. He has very consistently done the wrong thing in every situation, you would think he would have to accidentally make the right decision in some circumstance but we haven’t seen that happen yet. Seriously, if you were as bad at your job as Rob Manfred is at is … do you think you would still have a job?

Anyway, in a new edition of Why I Hate Rob Manfred, he was apparently trying to get the Mets to take the field, then pretend like they were boycotting the game, leave the field, and then come back to play the game an hour later. Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen discusses Manfred’s idea below:

Someone turned the audio up on this version:

………………… who would think that’s a good idea? Not somebody that cares about the Black Lives Matter movement or how any baseball players feel at all. Not a good leader. He shouldn’t be managing a little league team, let alone an entire league relying on someone that needs to do two things: respect the players and the game of baseball. Because those are two things he has proven that he can’t do. If players don’t want to play and you don’t understand, why don’t you talk to them? Let them tell you why. Listen. You might actually learn something and you can use it in the future when you have your next dumb idea. Rob Manfred, I hate you.
