Rob Gronkowski Opens About Former Teammate Aaron Hernandez For the First Time

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski sent a hilarious message to Tom Brady after admitting that he never watches film prior to games

Former New England Patriots tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez were one of the NFL’s all time best 1-2 punches. It was hard to stop them when they were both firing at once. Hernandez as we all know committed suicide after being convicted of murder. Gronk hasn’t been very vocal about his relationship with Aaron, or how he felt about what went down. On Thursday Gronk finally decided to open up, and described how “shook” he was from the events.

“Aaron was a great football player. I get questions like that all the time about him and with everything going on, I was definitely shook when I heard that, when I heard everything about it because just being his teammate … you really don’t really see that. You’re not really looking into players like that’s who they are or that’s what they’re doing. I just try to keep it simple and light. He was a great football player but that doesn’t mean anything. You learn from other people, too.”

In a letter Hernandez wrote from prison, he said he had “mad love” for Gronkowski and called him the “best TE to ever walk on the football field.”

Gronk is always about positivity and having a good time.

Hernandez was about a whole different life.  Crazy to think how great these two were on the field together.
