It might take a true contender to lure Rob Gronkowski away from another retirement announcement. And that team just may be the Buffalo Bills.

At the NFL Scouting Combine this week, it’s being reported that the Bills have been plotting their move for the superstar tight end.

“Word here at the NFL Scouting Combine is that if Gronkowski wants to keep playing, the Bills still are open to adding the Amherst, N.Y., native to their offense,” Tim Graham of the Athletic wrote in his latest comment.

The article would go on to describe how the Bills kicked the tires on Rob Gronkowski last offseason, as well, before realizing that he was set on sticking it out with longtime quarterback and friend Tom Brady.

“The Bills spoke with the surefire first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer last spring but discovered he wanted to keep playing with Tom Brady, who retired last month. Gronkowski re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for one year at $8 million,” Graham said.

When speaking on the retirement decision, Rob Gronkowski’s supermodel girlfriend, Camille Kostek, admitted that he’s more likely to keep playing now than when he took a year off before joining the Bucs because his body is in much better shape.

“He retired when he wasn’t feeling right,” Kostek said. “And he came back when he felt good. So, it’s really going to be, truly, like a gametime decision.”

Ron Gronkowski pairing with Josh Allen would certainly be fun to watch. We’ll see if the Bills can pull it off.
