Aaron Judge is about to get paid big time.

The New York Yankees slugger is heading to free agency this offseason, and he will receive one of the biggest free agents payouts in recent memory. Will Aaron Judge re-sign with the New York Yankees, the only team for whom he has played, or will he will look for a change of scenery?  If Aaron Judge explores the free agent market, there is one team that will reportedly spend as much money as it takes to sign him, and that team is the San Francisco Giants.

NJ.com’s Randy Miller wrote Tuesday that the Giants will do “whatever it takes” to land Judge. If they are unable to sign the outfielder, the report says it won’t be because of money.

“The Giants have targeted Judge and are prepared to spend whatever it takes, a person with knowledge of the Giants’ thinking told NJ Advance Media after meeting with members of the franchise’s ownership group. The person, who isn’t authorized to speak on behalf of the team, was granted anonymity.”

The Giants reportedly are feeling pressure to improve the roster in order to compete with the Dodgers and Padres in the NL West. They also reportedly are feeling pressure to compete with the star-studded Golden State Warriors within their same city.

Aaron Judge is from Linden, Calif., which isn’t too far from San Fran, there’s also the fact that he grew up a Giants fan. If Aaron Judge wants to return home and play for his childhood favorite team, the Giants might have the upper-hand in trying to land the Yankees star.   Judge is  coming off a 62-homer season for the Yankees, which is now the all time high in the American League, a pretty impressive feat to say the least.

Judge was drafted by the Yankees in 2013, and he won Rookie of the Year, and he has also made four All-Star teams.
