Reggie Miller isn’t much for the ‘superteam’ craze taking over the NBA right now.
The legendary sharp-shooter spent his entire career with the Indiana Pacers, which is part of the reason why he’s so beloved by a lot of fans. He served as the underdog for many years. Miller had the tall task of competing with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, but he said he would have changed nothing about where he played for his whole career.

He wanted to be a Pacer, and that was it.
Per USA Today:
The question: Was there ever a point you felt like you might leave? Any superstar pitches to join forces?
“No,” Miller told ESPN. “And if Michael Jordan ever would have called me and tried to sway me to come to Chicago, I would have told him to go (f*ck) himself! ‘I’ll be coming to see you on I-65,’ or whatever that highway is there. ‘I’ll be down to see you.’”
Miller went on to admit that the Knicks came calling, but that was already after Miller and New York “had a storied history,” as he put it.
Reggie Miller’s reveal that he never would have considered playing with any of his rivals shows just how different the NBA is nowadays. Every offseason, there are so many moving parts that it’s often hard to keep track of.
In Miller’s day, there wasn’t much ring chasing. There was just looking your enemy in the eye, and believing that you had what it takes to beat him.
I’m sure MJ didn’t want to team up with Reggie Miller, either.
