Raiders Release Statement On Fatal Car Crash Involving Henry Ruggs

The Las Vegas Raiders released a statement after it was reported that Henry Ruggs will be charged with a DUI leading to death from a crash Tuesday morning

Las Vegas Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs is under fire on Tuesday after it was reported that he was involved in a car crash early Tuesday morning in Vegas that left an unidentified individual dead.

As more and more details started to come in, it was revealed that Ruggs was showing “signs of impairment” and will be charged with a DUI leading to death.

Later in the afternoon, the Raiders sent out a statement of their own on the Henry Ruggs situation.

“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victim of this horrific tragedy. We will continue to gather facts and monitor the matter under our policies, but our thoughts at this time are with those impacted by this devastating incident,” the NFL said in a statement, per Tom Pelissero.

Henry Ruggs has not spoken on the incident yet. And his legal team is reportedly in the process of conducting their own investigation.

According to the initial police report, Ruggs was driving his Corvette shortly before 4 AM when he rammed into the back of a Toyota RAV4.

Henry Ruggs was drafted in the first round of the draft prior to last season.

So far on the year he has 24 coaches for 469 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
