Rachel Nichols Replacement Has Been Announced

December 18, 2011: Reporter Rachel Nichols walks along the sideline before the Kansas City Chiefs 14-19 victory over the Green Bay Packers at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Rachel Nichols replacement has finally been announced.

After Nichols’s private conversation about former  ESPN co worker Maria Taylor became public, ESPN  pulled Nichols from the NBA Finals. And  a month later, they pulled her from all NBA coverage. They subsequently canceled her NBA show, The Jump. Now ESPN is replacing Nichols with Malik Andrews, who will also host her very own NBA show.

Twitter reacted to the news:

Congratulations to Malika Andrews, may her time covering the NBA be less controversial than Rachel Nichols was.
