Phillies Fans Have Found A Way To Harass Opposing Teams Without Even Being Allowed In The Stadium

Philly fans are known for the overwhelming passion they have for their teams. Sure sometimes it results in throwing batteries at Santa Claus or cheering Michael Irvin’s potential paralysis. But I genuinely think you have to appreciate the zest they have in rooting for athletes who oh so often let them down.

It has to be particularly hard for them to not be able to partake in Flyers, Sixers, or Phillies games given how much they love their boys. But some entrepreneurial Phillies fans found a way to stay involved…and they got the joy of pissing off Yankees manager Aaron Boone in the process:

The self-professed Fandemic Crew — or perhaps Phandemic Crew, unclear on the spelling and clever branding — clearly got to Boone and the Yankees a bit. And they don’t lack for self-promotion either:

Normally I might be kind of annoyed by this sort of “look at me!” cry for attention. But this Phandemic Crew/Fandemic Crew is masked, socially distanced from players, and they clearly are just dying for a way to support Bryce Harper and the boys. And when everyone’s arch enemy the Yankees are in town, they knew they needed to bring their A game. Shouting, bullhorns, gigantic speakers like the ones that governments use for music torture to break up Manuel Noriega’s strongholds, there’s room to be creative for these Philly folks to be heard.

But we all know the Phanatic Crew won’t be complete until there’s a cameo from this guy:

The most annoying, illogical, and famous mascot around was born to be a part of this Phandemic Crew movement. Thrust your crotch until the cows come home, Philly Phanatic. The people demand it.
