Would Philip Rivers come out of retirement to save the Indianapolis Colts?

That’s the question many are asking after it was announced on Monday morning that Carson Wentz was going to be out indefinitely after opting for foot surgery.

Shortly after the news dropped a lot of fans had the crazy idea to try to get Philip Rivers to come back to the Colts for one more year.

Following his retirement announcement, Philip Rivers took a job as a high school football coach at St. Michael Catholic.

Rivers has said that it’s been a lifelong dream of his to coach football, and it would appear that he’s perfectly content not playing NFL football.

Also, Carson Wentz will be back at some point, and then what would you do if you’re Frank Reich?

It’s highly unlikely that the Colts turn to Philip Rivers this season. But they might need to acquire a quarterback to give them a little more experience with fourth-rounder Jacob Eason now slated to be their starting quarterback.
