Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes doesn’t appear to be all too concerned with the impending rise of Chargers QB Justin Herbert.

During Sunday’s round of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, Patrick Mahomes was told, “watch out for Justin Herbert next year” by a heckler in the crowd.

Patrick Mahomes was quick to quip back, “I’ll see it when I believe it”.

Pretty sure Patrick Mahomes meant to say, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” But we all know what he meant.

Anyways, I’m not sure what Mahomes was ‘seeing’ last season, because Justin Herbert had a pretty spectacular rookie season.

Last year year, Herbert threw for 4,336 yards, 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions through 15 starts. He also took home the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award in a landslide.

While Justin Herbert might be in the next wave of great quarterback talent, it looks like Patrick Mahomes is well-aware that none of those other guys are quite on his level yet.
