Patrick Mahomes Attempts To Walk Back His Comments On Justin Herbert

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes attempted to walk back his "I'll see it when I believe it" comment about Justin Herbert

During an appearance in a charity golf event, Patrick Mahomes was chirped by a fan in the crowd, “watch out for Justin Herbert next year,” the guy said.

Mahomes was quick to quip back, “I’ll see it when I believe it,” which was obviously a mixed version of what he was trying to say, but we got the point.

During a recent interview with USA Today Patrick Mahomes said his comment on Justin Herbert was ‘taken out of context.

“Yeah, I think it got taken out of context,” Mahomes said. “I was talking some trash to all those Raiders and Broncos and Chargers fans out there. I have a ton of respect for [Herbert] as a player.”

I’m not sure what Patrick Mahomes still believes he needs to see from Justin Herbert. The Chargers quarterback took the NFL by storm in year one, and threw for more yards and touchdowns than any rookie QB in the league.

The next step for Herbert is to win. And Patrick Mahomes knows he’s standing in Herbert’s way of that.
