Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori were all squared to fight in a light heavyweight main event this Saturday. But just one day before weigh in, Costa informed Vettori that he wasn’t going to be able to make weight at 186.

In an extremely bizarre video call, Vettori trolled Costa, explained to him the weigh-in process like he had never done it before, and agreed to fight him at 195.

After agreeing to fight Marvin Vettori at 195, Paulo Costa once again failed to keep his word. This Saturday’s fight will now be at 205 simply because Costa could not lose the weight that was agreed upon when the fight was scheduled.

The MMA community was unified calling out Costa for his absurd antics.

Paulo Costa’s explanation for why he was unable to fight Marvin Vettori at the 186 weight made no sense. And he has now embarrassed himself throughout this entire process.

During the weigh in, Vettori made sure to throw some extra shade at Costa for his inability to come in anywhere near the agreed upon weight.

Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori will remain the Main Event on Saturday night despite the unique circumstances.
