Packers Reportedly Working On New Deal With Aaron Rodgers

According to a report, the Packers are already working on a new deal with Aaron Rodgers and confident he'll ultimately decide to come back to the team

Everything seems to be lining up for Aaron Rodgers to return back to the Green Bay Packers.

Despite saying he still hasn’t made up his mind on his future, a report has indicated that some numbers have already been thrown around for a contract extension in Green Bay.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Packers are confident that Aaron Rodgers will end up deciding to stick with them for the long haul. And they’ve already been in contact with his camp to make him the highest paid player in the NFL.

“Nothing is done, but the two sides are at least going back and forth, having discussions, waiting for Rodgers to make his decision,” Rapoport said. “Of course, the Packers want to do nothing to get in the way of that, but they hope and believe he’ll want to come back.”

Aaron Rodgers recently posted a cryptic message to Instagram that seemed to indicate his time in Green Bay was coming to an end. But after being pressed, he admitted that there was nothing telling about the post — except that he was showing gratitude following a 12-day “cleanse”.

After all that, it was reported that Rodgers wanted the Packers to make him the highest paid player in the league. But speaking through friend Pat McAfee, Aaron called those reports “categorically false”.

No matter what Aaron Rodgers ends up deciding, I think we’re all looking forward to the day when this whole saga reaches its conclusion.
