Packers Reportedly Still ‘Will Not’ Trade Aaron Rodgers

Chicago Bears legendary linebacker, Dick Butkus, had an all-time reaction to the news that Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley have broken up

Green Bay Packers superstar Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is seemingly playing hardball with his employers. He hasn’t come out and officially said he wants a trade, but all signs point to him looking to change scenery. Rodgers and his fiance have been living it up in Hawaii while the Packers are holding OTA’s.

Now it appears as much as Rodgers wants out, the Packers are not biting. Reports also suggest Rodgers is trying to recruit players to join him on a new team.

They reportedly will not trade him.

Via The Athletic:

Wednesday could prove to be a significant day in the Aaron Rodgers saga because it would spur action if the Packers were open to trading him. If they were to trade him after June 1 (Tuesday), according to former NFL agent Joel Corry, they’d free up $16.05 million in cap space this year while shouldering a $21.152 million dead money hit, as opposed to eating a monstrous $38.356 million dead money charge if they traded him before Jun..

If Rodgers does end up back in Green Bay, it should be pretty awkward.

At this point you might as well move on, but the problem is the Packers know without him they’re gonna stink.

Rodgers only recourse would be to sit out a year, or retire.
