Kurt Benkert’s wife with the ‘assault’ on her husband.

This week the Green Bay Packers backup quarterback, who never plays, shared a viral text from his wife following Sunday’s 45-30 win against their rival Chicago Bears

Benkert finally saw his first NFL action of his career. Rodgers’ backup played two snaps, which were just kneel downs to close out the win. Benkert posted a funny tweet about his in game action.

A few days later he shared he and his wife’s text correspondence:

“Text from my wife after the game,” Benkert tweeted. “Assault.”

The text read, “All that hard work. Need recovery.”

She sounds like a real hoot.

She owes Aaron Rodgers a thank you, he was supposedly the reason her hubby finally saw some action.

Rodgers came up to Matt LaFleur and said:

“‘Hey, let Kurt take the victory snaps.’ I said ‘Absolutely. It’s a well-deserved honor.’”

As long as Benkert plays behind Rodgers, he’s probably never going to see the field again…
