Only One Team May Pursue Deshaun Watson

The Deshaun Watson sweepstakes isn’t what it used to be. When word first broke that Watson demanded his way out of Houston, everyone was chomping at the bit to land the Pro Bowl QB.  Fast forward to  NFL Draft day,  and it’s pretty much crickets. However there is one team that may still have some interest in Watson.

The Dolphins are the only team considering any Watson action:

Via Yahoo.com:

“It’s a reality that leaves open the extremely faint possibility that some kind of unexpected resolution could still happen during this draft, leaving one team, the Miami Dolphins, as the last potential suitor who could still take the leap with Watson. That leaves Miami, a team that has all the draft picks necessary to make a Watson deal happen today, next week, next month or even next offseason. It’s a pursuit that sources have said would have previously received the support of head coach Brian Flores and general manager Chris Grier. In truth, very little has changed on the Dolphins’ end in terms of the franchise’s ability to make a deal. Tua Tagovailoa is still the starting quarterback.”

They’re probably not trading for Watson until all the off field stuff ends.

But he’s the main reason they made the moves they did just in case everything gets thrown out.

I’d say earliest would be next off-season.
