Zach Wilson might be the most interesting case in the entire NFL Draft.

The BYU quarterback had a phenomenal season last year. He’s small, but his arm strength makes up for that. Similarly to Russell Wilson, Zach Wilson likes to go off script. Simply put, he’s a playmaker. But does that mean he’ll be Johnny Manziel or Russell Wilson? We’ll have to see.

Zach Wilson is having his Pro Day at BYU today, and the New England Patriots are reportedly very interested in the QB.

“The Patriots have been all over Zach Wilson (and every other top QB in the class), and Eliot Wolf is attending his pro day,” Howe tweeted. “They might not have a chance at him if the Jets and Dolphins have no interest in facilitating a trade, but it’s important to be prepared if he slides,” The Athletic’s Jeff Howe said in a tweet.

The Patriots would likely have to trade up if they want to land Zach Wilson. He’s currently projected to be drafted #2 behind Trevor Lawrence on most mock draft boards.

Bill Belichick has been a little out of character this offseason with his aggressive approach to free agency. Will the Patriots be willing to go all-in on Zach Wilson? It certainly looks possible.

That would definitely be fun to see the exciting Wilson try to fill the void Tom Brady left in the Patriots organization.
