Jimbo Fisher has had some time to get comfortable with his gig at Texas A&M, and now he’s fully confident that his team has what it take to compete with Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Fisher was so confident, that he even went on record saying that the Aggies would beat Alabama in 2021.
“We’re going to beat his ass when he’s there, don’t worry,” Fisher said.

On Thursday night, Saban was at a fundraiser, and was asked about Jimbo Fishers’ comments. His response did not disappoint.
"In golf?" *laughs* "Is that what he was talking about? In football? 🤣

You just gotta respect Nick Saban’s cocky attitude about him. He is the greatest college football coach of all-time. And whether he’ll ever say it or not, he knows it.
Nick Saban isn’t wrong, either. Jimbo Fisher is doing a fine job over there at Texas A&M, but to reach Alabama’s level, they need to jump up a step or two.
The SEC runs through Tuscaloosa, and I wouldn’t expect that to change for as long as Nick Saban decides he wants to stick around. Sorry, Jimbo.
