NFL Team Reveals How They View Deshaun Watson As A Potential Trade Target

According to a report, Deshaun Watson could potentially be traded to the Miami Dolphins as soon as this week despite the unsettled lawsuits

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson wanted out of the organization earlier in the offseason. Now, he’ll have some much more serious things to worry about. Watson now has to fight 14 lawsuits (and counting) accusing him of sexual assault.

Today, Watson’s lawyer released another statement standing by his client, and claimed that the QB is 100% innocent.

While we await word on how these accusations will affect Deshaun Watson’s future in the NFL, the question of whether or not he’ll be traded remains. The short answer is no. At least not anytime soon.

According to NFL insider Benjamin Allbright, an anonymous team has revealed that they’re ‘moving on’ from Deshaun Watson as the lawsuits continue to mount.

“Talked to more than one team who had previously been interested in Watson, and they’re moving forward without him in their plans at this point,” Allbright said on Twitter.

“For us it’s a football decision. We don’t know about guilt, but we know this won’t be wrapped by the draft…”
I’d imagine that pretty much any NFL team will be steering clear of Deshaun Watson for the time being. The jury is still out on whether or not he’ll even be allowed to play next season. We’re just going to have to let the investigation run its course.
