NFL SVP of Officiating Dragged After He Tried to Explain Bears Taunting Penalty

Bears linebacker Cassieus Marsh, who had just been called up to the Chicago Bears active roster,  made a huge play against the team he spent pre-season with, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marsh was able to sack Ben Roethlisberger in the 4th quarter, which would have been a crucial play had he not been flagged for taunting.

Flag comes in, automatic 1st down. Bears go on to lose the game.

Following the play, the NFL’s senior VP of Officiating took to Twitter to explain the call.

He was, as you may expect, roasted.
