Veteran free agent quarterback Cam Newton is being linked to the New Orleans Saints after it was announced that Jameis Winston is out for the year

The Patriots haven’t only given their starting quarterback job to Mac Jones. They’ve gotten rid of Cam Newton altogether.

Newton has been released, according to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe and then later confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
