New England Patriots offensive lineman Justin Herron was celebrated on Wednesday after he was said to have stopped an alleged sexual assault attempt while training in an Arizona park.

Herron said he was walking around the park in the morning when he heard screams, and knew he had to help. He said he approached a man on top of a woman, and pulled him away.

“I just knew that in that moment I had to go and had to put a stop to it,” Justin Herron said via TMZ.

Cops say Justin Herron was joined by another good samaritan, Murry Rogers, and the two man waited for cops to arrive to take the perp away. The man in question has been identified as 30-year-old Kevin Caballero.

Police also said that the woman victim was a 71-years-old. She was said to have called the two men who saved her, “her angels”.

Justin Herron and Rogers were both awarded Outstanding Service Awards for their actions.

Herron was a rookie last season, and started in six games for the New England Patriots. He’ll likely see his role increase this season, as he continues to get acclimated in the NFL.

It seems like the Patriots have a good one in Justin Herron.
