Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal has been the subject of a lot of trade speculation throughout the early going of the NBA season. While Beal has not officially demanded a trade, or even hinted that he wants out, there seems to be a general consensus that he’s going nowhere fast in Washington.

Beal only has so many years left of playing at a high level, and many insiders have been gearing up for the likelihood that he’ll eventually want to go play for a contender. However, a new report indicates that Bradley Beal has no intention of leaving Washington. In fact, he wants to stay.

NBA fans took to social media to react to the news that Bradley Beal wants to remain a Wizard.

I think there are two ways of looking at the Bradley Beal situation. For starters, it’s kind of refreshing to see a guy stay loyal to the team he’s been with for his whole career. It seems like the NBA is made up of a lot of divas who force their way out of situations when things get the least bit dicey. That isn’t Bradley Beal.

On the flip side, why wouldn’t Bradley Beal want to get traded? If Washington were to commit to a rebuild, and grant Bradley Beal a trade, he should pounce on the opportunity. Also, does this really look like a guy who is really committed to winning in Washington?

This whole Bradley Beal situation seems a little odd to me. Maybe we’ll get some more clarity as time goes on.
