It’s not everyday you hear a player complaining about a referee being “In her feelings.” That’s all because women are finally allowed to ref NBA games. The ref in question was Jenna Schroeder, who dished out s technical foul to Lakers player Montrezl Harrell for simply saying “And 1” after hitting a shot.
As part of #WomensHistoryMonth, the @NBA acknowledges the seven women who are working as staff and non-staff officials during the 2020-21 season:
Lauren Holtkamp-Sterling
Simone Jelks
Dannica Mosher
Ashley Moyer-Gleich

In his press conference Montrezl explains how he shouldn’t received that foul:
Montrezl Harrell: "All I said was 'And one.' No cursing, no profanity, none of that. And she turned around and gave me a tech because she was in her feelings because she felt like I was too loud with her or I belittled her when we was talking." pic.twitter.com/WtepE4Hye9

If you know basketball, saying ‘And 1’ is commonplace. It’s just one of those things players inherently yell when they feel a bit of contact. Of course it’s always more fun when you say it and the ball acutally goes in. The ref in question should know better than to call a T on that bull crap.
It’s their job to use discretion when dishing out technical fouls.
Do better.
