Mitchell Trubisky’s ‘NVP’ Award Is Showing Up All Over The Place On His List Of Accomplishments

It’s been tough sledding for Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky in the NFL ever since he was taken ahead of Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes in the 2017 Draft. He has been to the playoffs twice, but that’s mostly because he has had an elite defense. To put it mildly, Trubisky has been an achilles heel for a Bears team that really could have been a contender for the last few years.

When this year’s Bears-Saints playoff game was aired on Nickelodeon, Trubisky somehow took home the network’s ‘NVP’ award despite the blowout loss. Now, it’s showing up all over the internet on his list of accomplishments throughout his career. First, Trubisky’s Wikipedia page revealed his trophy. Now, even his Pro Football Reference page has a mention of his stupid ‘NVP’ trophy.

First of all, who has ever referred to Mitchell Trubisky as “Mr. Biscuit”. Who is updating these pages?

In all seriousness, I do kind of feel bad for Mitch. The guy has worked his tail off, said all the right things, been a great teammate. Unfortunately, he just isn’t very good. No matter what Trubisky does throughout his entire career, he’ll always be remembered as the guy who was somehow drafted ahead of Mahomes and Watson.

Oh, what could have been for the Chicago Bears.
