Florida State head coach Mike Norvell was out dueled by Deion Sanders (of all people) on Wednesday’s National Signing Day.

The college football world joined together in shock when it was announced that No. 1 recruit Travis Hunter was flipping his commitment from Florida State to Jackson State.

When the news dropped, Mike Norvell simultaneously sent out a tweet broadly in relation to Travis Hunter joining Deion Sanders over his squad.

Even if there was nothing outwardly wrong with Mike Norvell’s tweet, that didn’t stop him from being mocked over the post.

It was reported all season that Mike Norvell’s job might be on the line. But after the year, FSU’s brass decided they were going to give him another shot.

Even if the Travis Hunter flip might not be wholly Norvell’s fault, it’s a bad look for a coach who has already underachieved during his tenure.

Mike Norvell got worked today. And it seems like he’s already focused on moving forward with the team he’s got.
