Mike Holmgren won a Super Bowl as the head coach of the Packers, and he isn’t happy with how Green Bay is handling things with their franchise quarterback right now.

It has been heavily documented that Aaron Rodgers is not happy with the Packers’ brass, and he reportedly has told the team that he will not be returning under any circumstance.

While making a radio appearance today, Mike Holmgren said that he couldn’t even fathom an organization allowing a situation to get this bad with a quarterback of Rodgers’ caliber.

“They didn’t handle it very well, I don’t think,” Holmgren said of the Packers on ESPN Radio in Chicago today via Pro Football Talk.

Holmgren would go on to say that the team should have anticipated Rodgers being unhappy after they drafted quarterback Jordan Love.

“This is the second time the Packers have gone through this. They went through it with Brett too when they drafted Aaron,” Holmgren said. “With a franchise quarterback and a guy as good as Aaron, you don’t treat all players the same.”

Mike Holmgren was also confident that if he was with the Packers, he would have taken care of the Aaron Rodgers situation by now.

“I can’t imagine a relationship between the coach, or management, or whoever is making the decisions and a star quarterback like that getting to this point,” Holmgren said. “I just can’t imagine it. I wouldn’t allow it. It wouldn’t happen.”
