Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh’s name has been linked to a few different openings around the NFL. But none more than the Las Vegas Raiders.

Harbaugh is coming off his most successful season at Michigan, and perhaps he’s ready to end that chapter of his life to get back into the NFL.

According to a new report by Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, Michigan is currently operating under the belief that Jim Harbaugh would leave their program if he gets offered the Raiders job.

Per The Article:

“Multiple sources inside Michigan football told The Athletic this week that they think if Jim Harbaugh is offered the Raiders head coaching job, he’d take it.

They also know that Harbaugh can be hard to read. Their hunches could be wrong — but they also know he’s never coached anywhere longer than four years prior to his seven years and running in Ann Arbor. They’ve each believed that he, at some point, would want to coach in the NFL again.”

The Raiders have not officially moved on from interim head coach Rich Bisaccia. But it’s believed that he has an uphill battle ahead if he wants to get his interim tag removed.

By all indications, Jim Harbaugh has not decided if he wants to leave the Wolverines to get back into the NFL. But if/when he does, he’ll have many teams interested in his services.

Don’t be surprised if he gets named the next Raiders coach in the coming weeks.
