Michael Thomas Appears To Throw Shade At Drew Brees While Watching NFC Championship

LOS ANGELES, CA - SEPTEMBER 15: New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees (9) talks with New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Michael Thomas (13) on the sidelines during an NFL game between the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Rams on September 15, 2019, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA. New Orleans Saints star receiver Michael Thomas had a rough go in the team’s playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The normally reliable receiver was a non-factor, and didn’t make one reception all game.

The inability for the Saints to utilize Thomas is a big reason why they’re sitting at home while the Bucs are playing in the NFC Championship. According to Thomas, it isn’t his fault he couldn’t get going. He took to Twitter to seemingly troll Drew Brees for his inability to throw the deep ball.

Does Michael Thomas want out of New Orleans?

Sideaction’s Latest:

It’s tough read too much into Michael Thomas’s tweets, but he’ll likely have a chance to showcase his skills with a new quarterback next season. While Drew Brees hasn’t officially retired yet, it has been reported that he has played his last game in the NFL.

“I’m gonna give myself an opportunity to think about the season, think about a lot of things, just like I did last year, and make a decision,” Brees said when asked directly if he just played his final game via ESPN.

We’ll see if we see more production out of Michael Thomas with a new quarterback.
