Mesut Ozil And Peter Cech Enjoy Themselves In Hilarious Twitter Banter

LONDON, ENGLAND - DECEMBER 13: Mesut Ozil of Arsenal about to take a throw-in during the Arsenal versus Qarabag FK UEFA Europa League match on December 13, 2018, at Emirates Stadium in London, England. (Photo by Shaun Brooks/Action Plus/Icon Sportswire)

Mesut Ozil can’t just get off the news lately. The Turkish midfielder was reportedly left out of Arsenal’s squad for the hostilities of the 2020/21 season despite being the club’s highest earner. A whopping £350,000! All that money. Going down the drain every week for absolutely nothing.

Perhaps, he hardly cares sitting on that bench every f***king week, and still earns all that much. I wouldn’t either(winks) but you will admit it could become boring asf.

Well, it is his latest humorous Twitter banter with Peter Cech that might leave you with a few giggles..

Peter Cech and Ozil were teammates at the Emirates stadium from 2015 to 2019 before the goalkeeper departed to rejoin Chelsea as a technical performance adviser after retirement.

He’s since come out of retirement to earn a player/adviser role for the Blues, and therein lies the farce of Ozil’s tweet.

The pun was that Austria Wien’s goalkeeper Richard Strebinger who took a striking resemblance with Cech was in between the sticks as the North London club recorded a 2-1 victory in their Europa League meeting last time. The face, eyes, headgear and all. There was nothing left to indicate this was not a younger version of Cech taking on Arsenal lol

I’d say Cech was thrilled with it, and did as much as leave a laughing emoji under the tweet.
