MLB Twitter has erupted after it was reported that the San Diego Padres were acquiring Nationals ace Max Scherzer in a blockbuster deal

Washington Nations ace Max Scherzer was likely the hottest commodity on the trade market, and it appears as though he has found a new home in San Diego.

As if the Padres weren’t already stacked enough, adding Max Scherzer makes them as good of a bet as anyone to win the World Series this year.

While the Scherzer news and details is still coming in, Twitter is blowing up with the reported move to San Diego.

Max Scherzer pitched his final outing with the Washington Nationals on Thursday, and threw a solid 6.0 innings, allowing one run and three hits.

The full details of the Padres trade have not come out yet, and Scherzer can always veto any deal he doesn’t like.

But it sure looks like Max Scherzer will be wearing a Padres uniform the next time we see him take the mound, and the entire league should be on notice.
