One Team Expected To Be “Big Player” For Max Scherzer This Offseason

Shirtless Max Scherzer was out again after the Dodgers booked their ticket to the NLCS on Thursday, and he had an all-time quote

Max Scherzer could be staying in LA for a long time, but possibly wearing a different jersey.

As Scherzer get more comfortable with being a part of the Dodgers’ quest to win back-to-back championships, the team across town is reportedly keeping an eye on the dominant ace.

According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the Los Angeles Angels will be a “big player” for Scherzer this Winter.

“The Angels may be a big player for Max Scherzer in winter as I just said on MLB Network,” Heyman said in a tweet. “It could be an LA-LA showdown. Even on outskirts of race, they looked into him as a rental so it makes sense they’d cover him as a free agent. And based on his trade list he clearly likes LA!”

Max Scherzer will likely be receiving heavy interest on the open market this offseason.

But you’d have to think that it’ll be tough to get him away from the Dodgers, especially if he’s able to take the team to another deep run in October.

The Angles have been trying for a long time to match the prowess from the crosstown rivals, and it appears that they think taking Max Scherzer would go a long way in doing so.
