After Matthew Stafford won the first Super Bowl of his career this past weekend, an intense Eli Manning Hall of Fame debate took place on social media

After Matthew Stafford won the Super Bowl after many years being an above-average quarterback in the league, many were quick to think of comparable players when questioning his Hall of Fame case.

The general consensus is that, yes, Stafford will have his day in Canton. But when looking at the Rams quarterback’s resume, many became adamant when arguing about former Giants quarterback, Eli Manning’s case.

Immediately after the Matthew Stafford stans flocked to social media to lobby for his Hall of Fame case, people were quick to argue about Eli Manning.

Matthew Stafford’s illustrious career was cemented by a coveted Super Bowl win this past weekend, and it’s now hard to argue against him making the Hall of Fame. But to use his career as some sort of proof that Eli Manning shouldn’t get the call is a little ridiculous.

Manning ranks top 15 in NFL history in yards, touchdowns, completions, comebacks, wins, and game winning drives. Of course, he also has the two Super Bowl MVP’s under his belt.

At the end of the day, we’ll likely see both Eli Manning and Matthew Stafford donning a gold jacketing Canton, Ohio.
