Matt Nagy Clowned For Saying He Was “Having Fun” During The Packers Game

Social media has plenty of jokes after it was announced that Matt Nagy was going back to Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy following his failed Bears tenure

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy sure appears to be a dead man walking – with it being a foregone conclusion that he will not be the head coach in 2022.

But even with all that going on, the Bears actually looked somewhat competent through the first half of their game against the rival Packers on Sunday night.

Heading into the locker room the Bears still needed to shore up their defensive effort against Aaron Rodgers. But thanks to a couple of big plays, the team held a 27-21 lead.

Instead of lamenting some of the areas the team had to improve to actually pull off the upset, Matt Nagy opted to talked about how much “fun” he was having during the game.

After Matt Nagy’s Bears went on to get blown out in the second half, everyone had jokes about how much “fun” the coach was having.

With the expected loss to the Packers, Matt Nagy has now led the Bears to a 4-9 record – in a year where he admitted it was now-or-never time for his offense to prove they can compete with top teams around the league.

All season long, reports have indicated that Nagy will be let go at some point, most likely after the season concludes. And the team will have a new head coach to try to mentor Justin Fields and lead the Bears back to prominence.

Soon enough, Matt Nagy’s “fun” show will be headed out of Chicago.
