As it stands, the Packers still don’t know whether or not Aaron Rodgers will be their QB in 2022-23 or not.

The reigning MVP-award winner has maintained that he’s still contemplating his future with the Packers. But during a recent interview, GM Brian Gutekunst said he was hoping to get a decision in the next couple of weeks.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was also asked about the Aaron Rodgers decision, but he said he’s not trying to rush the franchise quarterback.

Specifically, LaFleur doesn’t want to “annoy” Rodgers.

Matt LaFleur would go on to say that the decision to hire Tom Clements as QB coach has a lot to do with Aaron Rodgers.

“He had a significant role,” LaFleur said when asked what part Rodgers played in the hire.

“I would say that in terms of just our conversations over the last couple years and how much he credits Tom for his development, it was very intriguing when we had an opportunity.”

I’d expect Aaron Rodgers to return to Green Bay. But at this point, I think we’re all ready for this saga to be over.
