Mark Cuban has had enough of the ridiculous narrative that the NBA is currently reeling.

If the 2021 NBA Playoffs have proven anything, it’s that the NBA is not in trouble with viewership. While this fact may not sit well with people who think fans are turned off by “woke” athletes and player protests, the NBA is currently thriving.

During the pandemic-caused NBA Bubble playoffs in 2020, viewership expectedly took a dive, but fans are back to watch this year’s playoffs in full force.

Over the course of the past day, Mark Cuban has sent out a variety of different tweets to help prove how much the NBA is thriving at this present time.

While Mark Cuban is right that the NBA is doing great, there is obviously still room for improvement.

End of games still take too long, the replay system needs work, we probably needs to re-addressed what is or isn’t a shooting foul, etc. But at the end of the day, fans are going to rush to their televisions in waves when good basketball is going on. And this year’s playoffs have been just that.

Who would have thought? It didn’t take players stopping their protest of injustice to get the NBA back to prominence. It just took a damn good postseason.

Mark Cuban and the rest of the NBA big-wigs can now take a victory lap. But they’d probably just rather continue to figure out how to make the league even better.
