The NFL QB carousel continues to spin out of control.

Following some huge trades involving starting quarterbacks, like Russell Wilson and Carson Wentz, it appears as if the Colts are in a mad scramble to replace Wentz with a bonafide starter.

It looks like Cousins is out after the Vikings just gave him an extension, a move that likely keeps him Minny for at least another season.

Jimmy Garoppolo is also out there for anyone who dares to get the often injured QB. The Colts are reportedly looking at him as a possible replacement for Wentz, but they also have Marcus Mariota on their radar.

Via Bleacher Report:

“The name I’m hearing the most as the Indianapolis Colts’ answer at quarterback is free agent Marcus Mariota,” ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported.

Mariota was Derek Carr’s backup in Las Vegas last season, and he’s really a solid backup. But is he capable of being a successful starter in the NFL again?

No doubt he has all the tools to be a great QB, but you know being a QB is more about what’s between the ears than arm strength.
