Man In Canada Appears To Get Arrested Just For Playing Pond Hockey In 2020

Pond Hockey is illegal in Canada during COVID-19

I get that its illegal to play pond hockey in Canada right now, given the COVID-19 restrictions. What’s even worse is getting tackled and arrested for trying to dangle around a little bit. Unfortunately, it seems like that was the case when these police officers took things a little too far when breaking up a friendly pond hockey session.

To be fair, the guy in this video does seem to be egging on the cops a little bit, but that’s no reason for them to act with so much negligence. The guy’s friends clearly didn’t want any trouble, and would have gotten him out of there without much of a fuss after a certain amount of time.

Instead, they proceed to continuously makes threats, and try to tackle him a few different times before finally getting him to the ground. You can hear people chirping the police in the background by yelling things like “police brutality” and “fuck 12”.

I guess that’s where we are in this awful year, we have cop standoffs with civilians due to the simple act of playing a pond hockey game. God, I can’t wait for all of this nonsense to be over. I think we all need some pond hockey in our lives right about now. Hopefully the COVID-19 vaccine will be available across Canada very soon.
