The Los Angeles Lakers will follow the lead of many professional sports teams in the world. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they will not be allowing fans into the Staples Center for their games. According to Shams Charania, the Lakers won’t have fans at their games for the foreseeable future.

The NBA has put out guidelines for teams that do choose to allow a percentage of fans at their games. These teams will also have to confer will their state and local government.

While some teams will opt to abide by these rules set forth by Adam Silver and the NBA, the defending champs will not be one of them.

Probably a smart move by the Lakers. Hopefully we can get back to being at sporting events without worrying about this virus very soon. It would be nice to get a packed Staples Center, but right now, that just isn’t possible. Maybe the lakers will wait until their fans can attend to raise their championship banner.
