Fox Decides To Mic Up Closer Liam Hendriks For MLB All-Star Game And It Goes Just As You’d Expect

Somebody at Fox thought it would be a good idea to mic up closer Liam Hendriks during the All-Star Game and it went horribly awry

Fox was mic’ing up MLB players for the entire All-Star Game on Tuesday night. And it went OK for the most part. But when White Sox closer Liam Hendriks came in to try to slam the door on the National League, Fox had the wrong idea by leaving his microphone on.

At first, announcer Joe Buck was trying to get an interview done with Hendriks while he was closing out the game. But instead, we had to settle for listening to Liam’s grunts and clear vulgar language throughout the entirety of the last half inning.

Fans reacted to Liam Hendriks being mic’d up for the last inning.

Honestly, it was kind of nice to get that little excitement from hearing Liam Hendrik’s energy at the end of the game.

The actual All-Star Game was pretty boring (per usual), and Joe Buck wasn’t doing much on the broadcast to make the game much more exciting.

Maybe we can set up an alternate broadcast for sporting events where we just get to hear raw reactions of players all game?
