The Nets-Sixers game was always going to have some fireworks on Thursday night given it was Ben Simmons’ return to Philly. But things were chippy on the floor, as well. All throughout the game, Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid were trading words with each other.

LeBron James was taking in all the action of the Joel Embiid-Kevin Durant beef from the comfort of his own home. And he was loving that the refs were letting them play without calling any technical fouls.

“I love that the refs let KD and JE talk that talk to each other and didn’t TECH them up! That’s DOPE!! Understanding the assignment,” he said on Twitter.

Kevin Durant may have taken the worst of the run-in, getting knocked to the floor by Joel Embiid, but KD and the Nets certainly got the last laugh.

The game was a laugher from start to finish, with the Philly faithful booing the team on their home soil early and often.

Even with James Harden moving to Philly, it appears as though the Nets are primed to be a contender heading into the postseason.

It would be real fun to see these two teams facing off against each other in playoffs. And LeBron James will likely be enjoying the action at home for that, too.
