LeBron James is never afraid to speak his mind, and he was at it again on Tuesday.

After it was announced that Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard would have to miss (at least) Game Five against the Utah Jazz, it became clear that we are seeing a troubling trend throughout the entire NBA.

LeBron James shared his view that the NBA asked for all of this to happen by forcing star players to play through the season even after the COVID-shortened offseason.

LeBron James clearly believes the the NBA rushed this season without taking into account that players’ bodies were not prepared to handle the workload. Furthermore, the league has cracked down on players taking maintenance days throughout the season.

We have seen far too many injuries from great players impact what should be a fun and exciting postseason where many teams have a shot to win the title.

LeBron James is arguably the NBA’s biggest voice, and he knows when he says something, it carries some added weight. Perhaps the league will listen to its players a little bit more before making scheduling decisions in the future.

We simple can’t have this many great players getting hurt going forward.
